33 Squirrel Coloring Pages

Squirrels are rodents, and like all rodents their front teeth never stop growing, which is why they gnaw on nuts and bark. Many squirrels bury food to eat later, and the seeds they forget can grow into new trees. This collection shows squirrels in their busy everyday lives. A gray squirrel climbs headfirst down a tree, a red squirrel sits on a pine branch, and a flying squirrel glides with skin stretched between its legs. Other pages show a squirrel cracking a walnut, hiding nuts in a tree hollow, carrying leaves to build a nest, sitting in an apple tree, playing in a pile of autumn leaves and visiting a pumpkin patch. A squirrel family curls up in a leafy nest, called a drey, and a child watches a squirrel in the park. There is also a face close-up, a baby squirrel, an easy outline and two cute cartoons. Gray squirrels are gray with pale bellies, red squirrels are rusty orange, and tails look fluffiest with feathery strokes.
