24 Excavator Coloring Pages

An excavator is a digging machine with a long arm, called a boom and stick, and a toothed bucket at the end. The cab sits on a platform that can spin all the way around, and most excavators roll on metal tracks rather than wheels so they do not sink in mud. This collection is packed with construction action. Excavators dig dirt, dig a trench, load a dump truck and work behind a construction fence or among traffic cones. A demolition excavator, a construction excavator and a crane on a busy site add variety. For younger builders there are chibi excavators, including one splashing in a mud puddle, a cute excavator, a cartoon excavator character and an easy big excavator with chunky lines. Construction yellow is the classic color, with black tracks and a gray bucket, but kids can paint their own company colors. Brown dirt piles and orange cones finish the scene. Kids who love trucks can count buckets of dirt or add their own dump truck beside the digger.
