28 Quokka Coloring Pages

Quokkas are small marsupials about the size of a house cat, and they live mostly on Rottnest Island and a few other spots in Western Australia. They became internet famous because the shape of their mouths makes them look like they are always smiling. Like kangaroos, quokkas hop, and mothers carry their young, called joeys, in a pouch. This collection shows quokkas from every angle. They stand calmly, curl up to rest, jump, take a step, look up and pose from the front and from a low angle. One nibbles a leaf, which is accurate since quokkas eat grasses and leaves, while others hold a ball or a pebble or sit in the grass. There is a face close-up, a baby quokka, a happy standing quokka and two cartoon quokkas. Real quokkas have thick, coarse brown fur with a lighter, grayish belly, small rounded ears and a short tail. Warm browns layered with a touch of rust look realistic. Cartoon versions suit preschoolers, while the low-angle view is a fun challenge.
