16 Chipmunk Coloring Pages

Chipmunks are small members of the squirrel family, easy to recognize by the stripes running down their backs and across their faces. They carry food in stretchy cheek pouches that can hold several nuts at once, then store it in underground burrows for winter. Unlike tree squirrels, chipmunks spend most of their time on the ground. This set shows chipmunks in playful scenes. Chipmunks peek out of a hollow log, a birdhouse and a flower pot, perch on a flower tower and balance on stacks of balls, a double ball, a double pumpkin and balloons. A baby chipmunk keeps things simple for small kids. Eastern chipmunks are reddish brown with five dark stripes separated by lighter ones, plus a pale belly and striped cheeks. Kids can practice coloring the stripes neatly in alternating brown and cream. Orange pumpkins and colorful balloons add bright accents. These pages are a great fit for fall, when chipmunks are busiest gathering food for winter.
