15 Wombat Coloring Pages

Wombats are sturdy, burrowing marsupials from Australia. They are best known for one funny fact: they are the only animals known to make cube-shaped poop, which stays put on rocks and logs to mark their territory. With strong claws and short legs, wombats dig long tunnel systems, and a mother's pouch faces backward so dirt stays out while she digs. Even though they look slow and round, wombats can run surprisingly fast for short distances. This collection shows wombats being cozy and curious. A joey peeks from its mother's pouch, a baby rests in its mom's lap, and a wombat sits in its burrow. Others hold a eucalyptus sprig, rear up to sniff the air, raise their arms, wave, stand facing front and doze sleepily. A realistic wombat and a patterned wombat suit older kids, while an easy chubby wombat and two cute versions are perfect for toddlers. Warm browns, tans and grays work for the fur, with earthy colors for the burrow.
