10 Zoo Animal Coloring Pages

Modern zoos care for animals, teach visitors and help protect endangered species through breeding programs. Some animals that almost disappeared from the wild, like the California condor and Przewalski's horse, have been helped by zoos. Many zoo animals come from Africa, Asia and Australia, so a zoo trip can be like a quick trip around the world. This set gathers favorite zoo animals. A giraffe, a hippo, a kangaroo, a monkey, a panda and a rhino each have a page, plus a cute elephant, a cute lion and a cute zebra for young kids. Kids can match each animal to its home: giraffes, hippos, rhinos, lions and zebras in Africa, pandas in China and kangaroos in Australia. Giraffes have brown patches on tan, zebras have black and white stripes and pandas are black and white. Elephants, hippos and rhinos look good in shades of gray. These pages are perfect before or after a zoo visit.
