24 Bear Coloring Pages

There are eight living species of bears, including brown bears, American black bears, polar bears and giant pandas. Bears have an amazing sense of smell, much stronger than a dog's, which helps them find food from miles away. Many bears that live in cold places spend the winter in a den, living off fat they stored during the fall. This set shows bears in friendly, everyday poses. One stands on a rock, another walks forward or takes a step, and others look up, wave a paw, stretch their arms high or sit on the grass in side view. A bear stands beside a tree, holds a ball, a flower or a small stone, and one enjoys a cookie. There is a front-facing standing bear and a face close-up too. Brown bears range from blond to dark chocolate, and American black bears can actually be black, brown or cinnamon colored. Short strokes give bear fur a fuzzy look. Big, simple bodies make these pages good for preschoolers through early elementary.
