30 Beaver Coloring Pages

Beavers are nature's engineers. They cut down trees with strong orange front teeth that never stop growing, then use the logs, mud and stones to build dams across streams. The dam creates a pond where the beavers build a lodge with underwater entrances that keep predators out. Beaver ponds also create wetlands that help fish, frogs, birds and many other animals. This set shows beavers hard at work. One gnaws a tree trunk, one chews a log, another stands on its dam wall and one sits beside a finished dam. Beavers rest on a log pile, a tall stump and a hind-legs perch on a branch, nestle in reeds and stand beside a tall tree. There are front and side profiles, a raised paw, an upright stance, a baby beaver and two cute versions. Beavers have rich brown fur, a flat, scaly black tail they slap on water as a warning, and webbed back feet. Blue water and green reeds finish each scene.
Round cartoons to a log pile
Cute Beaver Character is the chunkiest page, with a huge head and very thick outlines for ages 3 to 5. Baby Beaver keeps big fluffy shapes for ages 3 to 6, and Cute Beaver uses thinner lines in a walking side view for 4 to 7. Beaver with Dam is the medium page, with dozens of log ends and growth rings in the lodge pile that suit kids around 5 to 8 who like detail.
Build a paper lodge
After coloring Beaver with Dam, collect small twigs or brown paper strips and glue them onto the log pile to make a textured lodge. Then cut out the other three beavers and arrange them around the pile on a blue paper pond. Talk about how beavers cut trees with their teeth, stack branches and mud into dams and lodges, and slap their flat tails on the water to warn their family of danger.
