16 Ostrich Coloring Pages

The ostrich is the largest bird in the world, standing up to nine feet tall, and it lays the largest eggs of any living bird. Ostriches cannot fly, but they can run about 40 miles per hour with long strides of up to 16 feet. Each foot has only two toes, which helps with speed. The old story that ostriches bury their heads in sand is a myth. This set shows ostriches with lots of personality. A mother ostrich leads her chicks, a fluffy chick stands on its own, and one ostrich looks over its shoulder. Fun pages show an ostrich jogging in a sweatband, wearing a straw sun hat and wrapped in a winter scarf. A baby ostrich and two cute ostrich pages suit young children. Male ostriches have black bodies with white wing and tail feathers, while females are gray-brown. Their long necks and legs are pinkish or gray. Golden savanna grass makes a natural setting for these speedy birds.
