16 Panda Coloring Pages

Giant pandas live in the mountain forests of central China, and bamboo makes up about 99 percent of their diet. Because bamboo is low in nutrients, pandas eat for up to 14 hours a day. A special wrist bone works like a thumb to help them grip stalks. Newborn pandas are pink, nearly hairless and about the size of a stick of butter. This collection features pandas and their favorite food. Pandas eat bamboo, sit with a bamboo snack and walk with a bamboo stalk like a staff. A cub raises its arms, another rides on a parent's head, and an easy chunky panda plus a baby panda and two cute pandas give little kids simple shapes. Pandas are black and white: black ears, eye patches, legs and shoulders, with a white face and body. Leaving the white parts uncolored keeps the look crisp. Green bamboo stalks with light green leaves complete the scene. These pages pair well with lessons on China and conservation.
