20 Octopus Coloring Pages

An octopus has eight arms, three hearts and blue blood, and it is one of the most intelligent animals without a backbone. Octopuses can open jars, squeeze through gaps as small as a coin, and change both the color and texture of their skin in a fraction of a second to blend in. This set shows cheerful octopuses with plenty of personality. One stretches all its arms wide, another sways with wavy tentacles, and one shows off spotted tentacles. Others sit on a rock, rest beside a tree, smile calmly or pose in side profile. A silly one munches a sandwich, and there is a baby octopus plus two cartoon versions for little hands. The suckers along each arm are fun to color one by one. Real octopuses are often red, orange, brown or purple, but since they can change color, kids can pick any shade and say it is camouflage. Bubbles drawn around the octopus and a sandy floor make a nice underwater scene.
