16 Koi Coloring Pages

Koi are colorful carp that were first bred in Japan in the 1800s from common carp kept by rice farmers. Some koi live for decades, and a few have been reported to live more than 100 years. In Japanese culture, koi are linked to perseverance and good fortune, inspired by a legend of a carp that swam up a waterfall and became a dragon. This set shows koi swimming and splashing. A koi leaps with a splash, dives past lily pads, swims through Japanese-style waves, blows bubbles and circles with a partner in a yin-yang pattern. A koi swims in a pond, and a smiling cartoon koi and two cute koi pages suit young kids. Koi come in many patterns, such as white with red patches, orange with black markings, solid gold and tri-color. Kids can design their own koi pattern. Blue and green water with pink lily blossoms makes a peaceful pond. These pages are calm and relaxing for all ages.
